Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get a massage?
I get this question a lot and my usual response is “you need to develop a $100 day massage habit”.
Just Kidding! It really all depends on your body, budget, and availability.
Do I have to take ALL my clothes off?
You only need to undress to the level you are comfortable. All massages utilize appropriate draping techniques. Some people remain very close to fully closed, others wear only underwear, some are completely naked. It matters not, as there are two top sheets to ensure comfortable coverage, and to maintain modesty.
What if there are certain areas of my body I do not want touched?
Please tell your therapist about any areas of concern. Whether painful, ticklish, or modest, all requests will be fully respected.
Can I pay with Zelle?
Yes! You can easily pay using Zelle. Business Phone: 310.721.6869
Will it hurt?
One of the things I hear a lot is “I’m a big baby. I don’t get massages as my friends/family say they are painful!” Know this, you are not a “big baby,” you are being a good steward of your body. Read our article “Myths about Massage and Pain” for more information.
Do you care if I wear a mask?
Only if you are going to rob me. If you find you are more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so.
Am I supposed to tip?
A great question, and one that some people have a hard time asking. Everyone from Emily Post to Miss Manners would tell you that you do not tip the proprietor of the establishment. However, I have found that people sometimes enjoy tipping or feel weird if they do not tip. There is a tip screen on the processor since if it is not offered, people give me a hard time! This does not mean that tipping is expected, and tipping does not get anyone any special perks.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be accommodating and fair to all clients, the following policies are strictly adhered to:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. Arriving more than 10 minutes late without a phone call or text will result in your appointment being cancelled.
Can I use FSA or HSA?
We now accept FSA/HSA cards for those whose insurance covers massage, that have a prescription, or those that have a Letter of Medical Necessity from their doctor.
